Overview: Join Dave Cappillo as he covers key mistakes to avoid when forming a business and provides an overview of choice of entity and capital structure. He’ll also drill-down on corporate governance considerations for start-ups including best practices for Founders Agreements, issues relating to employees and contractors, and critical IP. Dave will lead a discussion on initial funding alternatives and structures.

Speaker Bio: Dave Cappillo is a partner in Goodwin’s market-leading Tech & Emerging Companies Group, with a primary focus on advising high-growth technology and digital health companies. He has extensive experience in M&A, VC and growth equity, and securities laws. Dave is a key contributor to Goodwin’s Founders Workbench, an online resource for start-ups, emerging companies and the entrepreneurial community.
