Dr. Liz Kwo, MD, MBA, MPH, will be joining us to discuss her journey from a physician-entrepreneur to an executive in the payor-reimbursement space. We’ll discuss how Liz’s clinical experience allowed her to create solutions that not only solved the problems of healthcare professionals but were adopted within the complex clinical workflow. She will provide insight into how her entrepreneurial experience and medical expertise have led her to work on innovations across the healthcare value chain, including her current role leveraging data and analytics to innovate medical reimbursement as Staff Vice President at Anthem.
About the Speaker:
Dr. Liz Kwo has 15+ years of experience specializing in healthcare technology product development & commercialization, marketing & sales, strategic partnerships, and post-merger integration. She currently serves as Staff Vice President of Clinical Data Analytics at Anthem. She previously worked in remote patient monitoring for Medtronic, American Well as the Vice President of Provider Networks for telehealth, and is an active angel investor in the healthcare community. She founded multiple venture-backed companies including New Pathway in educational technology (sold to CVC private equity firm in 2014) and InfiniteMD, a digital healthcare company (sold to Consumer Medical in 2020). Dr. Kwo earned a BA in Human Biology from Stanford University and her MD from Harvard Medical School. She holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MPH from Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health. She completed her residency in Preventive Care at Harvard Preventive Care and continues to see patients in urgent care.
