Speaker Bios: Rick Pierce, Jeff Wagner, and Fred Mermelstein, cofounders of the biotech startup and Life Lab resident company, SanaRx, will be joining us to discuss their diverse journeys as life science entrepreneurs with the founding of SanaRx, as well as their previous biotech pursuits.

Prior to SanaRx, Rick and Fred were formerly cofounders of the Cambridge-based biotech company Javelin Pharmaceuticals, which developed new drugs and improved formulations for pain. Javelin went on to IPO (NYSE) and subsequently sell to Hospira in 2010. Rick and Fred have had vast and varied careers in life sciences, including as serial entrepreneurs, board members, and angel investors, and will be sharing about the ups and downs they have lived through as founders, including the 2008 financial crisis and more.

Additionally, Jeff Wagner, PhD, cofounder and Scientific Director of SanaRx, will also be joining to talk about his journey going from Harvard post-doc with a background in biomedical engineering to becoming a biotech entrepreneur working with the SanaRx team.
