People optimization — how you hire, fire, manage, connect with and motivate your team — is the fastest way to achieve your mission. And yet many founders and managers fall short of this goal, inhibited by the inherent need humans have to remain safe within their comfort levels, devoid of rigor, diversity, value and tough decision making.

In this session, Harvard Innovation Labs’ Assistant Director Matthew Guidarelli will highlight this societal phenomenon while making the case that it is necessary for founders/leaders/managers to embrace rigor & discomfort; understand ‘team’ as being mission-critical; and to adopt key practices in order to build a highly-optimized enterprise (and personal journey) through people.
