Sarah A. Downey is a Principal at Accomplice (FKA Atlas Venture) focusing on virtual and augmented reality and frontier tech. Sarah co-founded Rev Boston, an award and event honoring 20 of the top women in Boston tech at the VP or Director levels in their careers. She is a contributing writer on VR and AR for UploadVR.com. Sarah has been published as a source in over 250 publications, including The Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, Forbes, The Economist, CNET, and CNN. She is a video gamer, weight lifter, and scifi fan.
Richard is a Principal & Investment Manager at _Underscore.VC and leads the firm’s investing practice in VR/AR. As a programmer, turned entrepreneur, turned VC, he is relentlessly focused on making every touchpoint with “in flight” entrepreneurs meaningful, and is currently a mentor to several VR/AR startups in Boston, NY, and LA — and is a investor and contributor to Upload.VR. Richard is a developer by background and spends his nights and weekend actively tinkering in the space and building in Unity, and has a side project building the RottenTomatoes of VR content.
Neil Gupta is the Founder and President of BostonAR, a nonprofit accelerator dedicated to growing the augmented reality ecosystem in Boston. Neil advises several VR/AR startups, and acts as an independent consultant for larger companies where he focuses on discovering business needs and then building solutions using frontier technology. Previously, Neil was at Draper Labs, where he was co-founder of the Sembler innovation office, outreach lead for entrepreneurs and VCs, and worked on the DreamChaser space shuttle.
