Harvard Innovation Labs

This is Part 2 of the How to Speak Tech workshop. We HIGHLY recommend attending “How to Speak Tech” which meets immediately before this session.

Have you heard people talk about blockchain and not really get it? Maybe you have a basic understanding of crypto but get lost once people start talking about blockchain, web3, chains, ethereum, Metaverse, etc… Or maybe you don’t even get crypto that well.  In this session, we’ll break down what blockchain really is. This is a talk for people who have been trying to understand what blockchain is and still just can’t wrap their mind around it. We’ll try to make it as simple as possible.

Speaker: Phil Greenwald

Phil Greenwald is the founder and CEO of HiWave. He frequently lectures on technology, entrepreneurship, software development, and other tough tech topics (AI, VR, Blockchain, etc…).  He’s actually an i-lab staff alum. Before starting HiWave, he was the Associate Director of Technology and Lead Technology advisor at Harvard Innovation Labs.  He built and managed the i-lab’s Augmented and Virtual Reality Studio and also oversaw the creation of the i-lab’s technology Development department. Prior to his time at the i-lab, he founded Code Undercover, the world’s first coding school in which students learn to code by building their own product idea.
