Jon is a founder and Managing Partner at J2 Ventures, an early stage venture fund focused on the intersection of deep technology and U.S. National Security. Prior to J2 Ventures, Jon was an investor in the private equity group of D. E. Shaw, COO of a health HealthTech startup called Backpack and a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. Jon has a B.A in biochemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and a PhD from Columbia University where his research focused on AI techniques to understand biophysics data.
