Tasneem Dohadwala is the Founding Partner of Excelestar Ventures, where she and her team actively invest in founders building medical technology, deep technology, and beyond. Under her leadership, Excelestar has been named one of the Top 100 Women-Led Businesses in Massachusetts by The Boston Globe.
Her notable investments include Augmenix (acquired by Boston Scientific), nVision (acquired by Boston Scientific), Conformal Medical, Diesel Labs, Instylla, and Altiostar Networks. Prior to founding Excelestar, Tasneem worked in financial services on the sell-side at Lehman Brothers and Matrix Partners.
A lifelong advocate for women’s leadership, Tasneem began as an active member of the Women of Lehman Brothersand later served as President of Wellesley College Alumnae Boston. She continues to champion diverse entrepreneurs, passionately mentoring and searching for female-led companies with the belief that investing in women drives leadership change.
Tasneem serves on the Board of Trustees at the Pike School, serves on the President’s Advisory Council at Wellesley College, and is active with TiE Boston, Brigham and Women’s Cancer Research & Care Advisory Board, and Phillips Academy Andover’s Development Board. She has also contributed to Passion & Purpose: Stories from the Best and Brightest Young Business Leaders.
She has been honored as a Rock Capital Advisor at Harvard Business School, a Boston Business Journal Movement Maker Honoree, and Startup Boston’s Equity Champion of the Year. Tasneem is a graduate of Wellesley College and Harvard Business School.
