2020 Ingenuity Awards

The one you dreamed up in biochem lab.

Or a fix for that problem that bugged you all summer.

Or the one that came to you in a flash of inspiration at 2 am while chowing through a bag of veggie straws.

The thing is, we need those ideas. Change begins when we think up something that just might work! Big or small, your idea could win you a share of $10,000 in Ingenuity Awards in the President’s Innovation Challenge, thanks to the generosity of the Bertarelli Foundation!

Unlike the other PIC awards, you don’t have to develop a fully-formed idea or venture to win. Simply describe the idea you’ve got!

STEP 1 Click on ‘Apply Now’
STEP 2 Log into Slideroom or create a Slideroom account.
STEP 3 Answer a few demographic questions.
STEP 4 Upload two 30-second videos of yourself talking about your idea.

Video 1: What problem are you trying to solve?
Who will benefit from your idea?
What’s inspiring you to tackle this issue?
Video 2: What would solve this problem?
We’re not looking for a perfect — or perfected! — solution. Simply describe your idea and what it would change!

The Ingenuity Award winners will be announced at the President’s Innovation Challenge Awards Ceremony on May 13, 2020. Winners MUST be in attendance to win the award. Please register to attend the event and add it to your calendar.

$5,000 – Ingenuity Award Grand Prize
$2,500 – Ingenuity Award Runner Up Prizes (2 total)

All President’s Innovation Challenge awards are made possible by the generosity of the Bertarelli Foundation, Ernesto Bertarelli (MBA 1993).
