Jim (HBS-76) has experience in running small and medium enterprises (SME), turnarounds, investing in searches, entrepreneurship through acquisition and entrepreneurship in large organizations. He has a deep understanding of the career choices around working for a large firm first and then moving into an entrepreneurial business a decade into his a career. 21 years later, after selling his business, he joined the HBS faculty to teach The Entrepreneurial Manager, Turnarounds and Running Medium and Small Enterprises courses. . Working with his wife (HBS-81) gave him an appreciation of the challenges facing a dual career couple and how to make the compromises associated with the work/life balance issues.
