Lori Collins accelerates private investment in climate adaptation and resilience by connecting entrepreneurs with the investors, partners and networks they need to grow. Throughout her career, Lori has built new markets and investment platforms in financial services, energy, and climate resilience, helping emerging sectors attract private capital and mature into investable markets.
Since 2017 Lori has been a driving force behind GARI, a global nonprofit catalyzing private investment in climate resilience, in partnership with Bezos Earth Fund, ClimateWorks Foundation, the World Bank and other global organizations.
- At GARI and Harvard, she’s working to build the commercial pathways and investment ecosystem for climate adaptation.
- At Joules Accelerator, she established one of the earliest clean technology accelerators in the United States, now the largest in the Southeast for energy and grid-tech startups.
- At Abundant Power, she developed financing platforms that enabled energy efficiency investments.
- At Fidelity Investments, she led development of the open-architecture mutual fund platform that fundamentally changed how investors accessed investment products.
Lori holds degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, University of Edinburgh, Kellogg Graduate School of Management and was a 2026 Fellow in the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative. She serves on the board of the Southeastern Wind Coalition and the Ceres President’s Council, and is a former member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Environmental Financial Advisory Board.
