At the i-lab, Tom Samph leads student programs and network engagement; oversees programming for venture development, mentorship, and funding initiatives; and manages relationships with the broader innovation ecosystem to support Harvard student founders.
Tom’s academic background blends finance, entrepreneurship, and education. He holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance from Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, a MSEd in Education Entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania, and a BS in Journalism from Boston University.
Outside of the i-lab, Tom is a (semi) competitive rower who occasionally still competes in the Head of the Charles. He is also currently angel investing in a few groups (Angel Squad / Hustle Fund, Launchpad Venture Group, and TBD Angels). Otherwise, you can probably find Tom hiking in the Middlesex Fells with his wife Stephanie, sons Oliver and Wesley, and dog Cam.
