The Harvard Innovation Labs is delighted to share that i-lab alum WHOOP has been named one of the 2025 TIME Best Inventions for its groundbreaking wearable, WHOOP MG.
According to WHOOP’s announcement, the WHOOP MG represents a major leap forward in personal health and longevity. Paired with a redesigned WHOOP experience, the device offers 14-day battery life in a sleeker, seven percent smaller form — and introduces category-defining features, including Healthspan with WHOOP Age, Heart Screener with on-demand ECG, Blood Pressure Insights, and more.
Whoop’s founder and CEO Will Ahmed ’12 developed early Whoop prototypes out of the Harvard Innovation Labs in the University innovation center’s first year of existence. Ahmed recently spoke about Harvard’s role in helping the company at its earliest stages in his interview on How I Built This with Guy Raz, and consistently has given back to the Harvard Innovation Labs community over the last decade.
The TIME Best Inventions list recognizes products, software, or services that are revolutionizing the world. Over the last seven years, at least nine Harvard Innovation Labs ventures have been featured on the list.
