Join us for an engaging session where we’ll present WISE and the EdTech Accelerator, followed by a deep dive into the evolving MENA EdTech landscape.
This event will highlight key insights into the current state of the EdTech industry across the region, uncovering trends, opportunities, and pressing challenges. We'll explore the unique dynamics of the MENA market, including the roles of governments, investors, and major ventures shaping the ecosystem.
The session will also feature an interactive discussion focused on navigating infrastructure limitations, cultural considerations, and regulatory complexities, as well as strategies for effectively engaging stakeholders such as local communities, educational institutions, and government entities.
ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Elyas Felfoul Director, WISE - Qatar Foundation
Elyas joined WISE in 2013. Since coming on board, he has been tasked with managing and setting up the summit’s platform and, more recently, revamping the EdTech Accelerator Program. Elyas brings WISE a vast and rich know-how with his experience in the public and private sectors. Before joining WISE, he worked as a political advisor to the Quebec Vice-Prime Minister, and then followed with a position at a Toronto-based company that specializes in mergers and acquisitions. Elyas studied International Relations at the University of Sherbrooke in Canada and obtained a master's in Public Policy at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of the National University of Singapore.
GETTING TO THE HARVARD INNOVATION LABS
The Harvard Innovation Labs is located on the first floor of Batten Hall at 125 Western Avenue, Allston, MA 02134. We are situated on the Harvard Business School campus, a 15-20 minute walk from Harvard Square. You can also use the Harvard shuttle. The University offers daily parking for faculty, staff, students, visitors, and guests in the HBS lot on Western Avenue. The HBS lot is available 24/7 and accepts both cash and credit card payments.
