ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Julia Berman is an international development consultant with expertise in fundraising, communications, strategy, and leadership coaching, and a track record of scaling mission-driven organizations. She was previously Chief Partnerships Officer at Muso, where she led resource mobilization and communications to raise over $80M, with a compound annual growth rate of 35%. She joined Muso as the organization’s first dedicated fundraising hire and built out a development and communications team of 15. Julia was previously a Major Gifts Officer at the Center for Investigative Reporting in the San Francisco Bay Area and has worked for the Office of Resource Development at Harvard Medical School, with Physicians for Human Rights, and on political campaigns in her native Oregon. She holds a master’s in International Affairs from Boston University, where she focused on human rights and democratization in Francophone Africa. She also holds a Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education certificate in exponential fundraising.
