Sanjeev Menon is the Program Associate for Climate Entrepreneurship at the Harvard Innovation Labs, where he works with stakeholders across Harvard to help transform their climate-focused ideas into impactful ventures.

In this role, he provides strategic programming and operational support, connects founders with tailored resources, and helps facilitate programs designed to accelerate the success of climate startups. He also supports the “How to Create a Climate Venture” course, ensuring that students have the tools, mentorship, and insights needed to navigate the early stages of venture building in the climate space.

Sanjeev brings a strong technical background in carbon management, having earned his MSc from Columbia University, where he focused on the interplay between the geochemistry and reactive transport of carbon dioxide in basaltic rocks. As a recipient of the Tamer Institute’s Social Enterprise Summer Fellowship, he interned at Cella, a carbon mineralization startup, gaining hands-on experience in the operations of carbon capture and storage (CCUS) technologies. Sanjeev also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering from The Cooper Union, where he developed a strong background in environmental and infrastructure systems.

Beyond his work in climate entrepreneurship, Sanjeev is passionate about environmental education and has spent the past three years leading sustainability-focused summer programs for high school students in Iceland, Switzerland, and Vietnam. He enjoys exploring how innovative technologies intersect with policy and community-driven solutions to address climate change. He also serves as a volunteer with the Direct Air Capture Coalition. When he’s not working, Sanjeev can often be found experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, biking through city streets, traveling to off-the-beaten-path destinations, or curating eclectic playlists.
