The Harvard Innovation Labs is thrilled to share that the IAMBIC MODEL T, a sizeless sneaker fitted by AI, and SurgiBox SurgiField, an ultraportable surgical environment, have been selected as 2023 TIME Best Inventions.
“The Harvard Innovation Labs has been one of the greatest champions of IAMBIC’s pursuit of size-inclusivity. The i-lab’s support, through its resources and network, propelled our journey from a software enterprise to the pioneering AI-driven footwear brand we are today,” said Maeve Wang, co-founder and CEO of IAMBIC, and a 2011 Harvard College graduate.
IAMBIC was selected to join the 2023-2024 Harvard Innovation Labs Launch Lab X GEO cohort, a global startup leadership program designed to help early-stage, Harvard alumni-led ventures grow into sustainable and disruptive businesses. The MODEL T is the culmination of over three years of government-backed R&D, 12 patent-pending inventions, and the collective efforts of IAMBIC’s global team.
SurgiBox won the 2016 Harvard President’s Innovation Challenge. Its SurgiField system is an ultraportable battery powered sterile environment comprised of three parts: a single use SurgiBubble, a multiple use Smart Control Module, and a Battery.
