Shalen is an investment banker-turned founder, operator, consultant and investor across healthtech, fintech, social impact and AI over the past 18 years. Shalen is currently SVP of Market Strategy & Performance at Nations Benefits, a PE-backed market leader in Medicare Advantage supplemental benefits and managed care services. He also co-founded Huat Ventures, a pre-seed to series A proprietary investment vehicle making investments spanning health tech, fintech, AI and distributed ledger tech. He recently transitioned as CEO and founder of Vincere Health, a Harvard-founded, Techstars-backed award winning patient engagement tech platform. Shalen is a Sri-Lankan-Australian with an MPH from Harvard, MFin from Cambridge, and BSc from LSE, and is a Deloitte-trained chartered accountant.
