Bethany Withers is a partner in Goodwins Strategic Technology Transactions and Licensing practice and a member of the firms Technology group. Ms. Withers concentrates on technology, data, publicity rights and intellectual property matters, including technology and data transfers and licensing; collaboration, strategic alliance and joint development agreements; celebrity endorsement and influencer agreements and related social media and marketing programs; compliance with sweepstakes and promotion laws; and due diligence and other intellectual property issues in mergers, acquisitions and venture capital and private equity transactions.
Ms. Withers works with a broad base of start-up, venture-back, and growth companies in a variety of sectors, including consumer and enterprise software; cosmetics and fashion; media and entertainment; fintech; medtech; digital health and wellness. She also represents individual celebrities and influencers in connection with endorsement and licensing deals. She joined Goodwin in 2011 and is a member of the Boston Hiring Committee.
