The Harvard Innovation Labs today announced that it has awarded more than $200,000 in Social Impact Fellowship Fund grants to 18 mission-driven ventures in the past year.

The Social Impact Fellowship Fund offers non-dilutive grants, ranging from $5,000 to $20,000, to ventures led by Harvard students with a focus on social impact. In addition to funding to propel their ventures, recipients gain feedback from judges and join a growing network of past SIFF winners who are forging paths in social entrepreneurship.

“For social innovators at the early stages of building their organizations, grant funding is crucial for helping them scale their work,” said Rebekah Emanuel, senior advisor for social impact at the Harvard Innovation Labs. “From reimagining STEM education to providing housing to displaced people, this year’s SIFF recipients are focused on a variety of efforts that will dramatically improve the quality of life for children and adults globally. We look forward to seeing how each of these ventures grows and succeeds in the years ahead.”

The Social Impact Fellowship Fund was established in 2019 through the generosity of Alexander Navab. It was Navab’s hope that support from this fund would help recipients accelerate and advance their venture creation in social impact sectors.
